Aquatics Manager

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for overall operation of the Aquatic Division, which includes Sholem Aquatic Center, Aquatics Office Operations, and Aquatics Concessions. The Aquatics Manager is also responsible for district-wide fitness events and fitness programs.

Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in recreation, sports, tourism, or related field, or eight years' experience in the field • Must have at least three years of successful recreation programming, facility management, and/or supervision and preferred experience in aquatics.

• Superior customer service skills • Experience in coaching and training staff Functions • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate full-time and part-time facility staff • Prepare and monitor the annual budget for aquatics and fitness events and programs • Develop and oversee aquatics and fitness events, programs, and activities in conjunction with full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff • Coordinate lifeguard training and certification • Create and develop the Aquatics and Fitness facilities, programs and events through meetings, teamwork activities, and leadership Considerations • Must be able to organize, plan, and implement multiple projects simultaneously and complete by their respective deadlines • Must be able to resolve differences and problems that arise with staff, participants, volunteers, partners, and sponsors in a professional manner and in the spirit of the district's mission We offer excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, pension, and much more.
