has an immediate need for an
Marketing CoordinatorThe Foundation has an immediate opening for a Marketing Coordinator. This person provides assistance and support to marketing efforts which further the mission of the University of Illinois Foundation. They also participate in the development, production and coordination of marketing content and strategic communications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Strategizes, writes, edits, and coordinates content for marketing and communication materials, including websites, newsletters, print materials, social media, and other digital platforms for the Foundation, the campaigns, and the work done in support of the University of Illinois System and its universities.2.Provides expertise on marketing and content strategy, working with stakeholders to meet their goals.Provides quality assurance on all content deliverables (including proofreading) and maintains consistent brand voice and tone throughout all.3.Assists UIF staff and university partners in developing materials in support of fundraising activities. Builds and maintains relationships with our internal and external clients and will serve as a secondary presenter or trainer for the marketing and communications team.4.Administers project management software and uses it to organize and track MarCom projects. 5.Provides assistance on creative, web, Webtools, and video projects including image curation, content gathering, and approval routing.6.Collaborates with the director for large initiatives and projects and helps coordinate initiatives and project creative for annual giving, marketing operations, and engagement opportunities.7.Performs other related duties as assigned.8.Assists in forming and maintaining policy and guidelines to govern content, style and design of communications or other materials produced by the Foundation and UI advancement.This includes UIF branding, campaign branding, and all content for advancement purposes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:˘• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.˘• Minimum of three years of marketing and communications-related experience.˘• Proven experience writing and editing with a marketing purpose and displaying knowledge of communications principals and media.˘• Strong organizational and analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. ˘• Proven ability to be a good team player and to juggle multiple projects at the same time in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.˘• Intermediate-level experience maintaining Web pages.˘• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite software in professional work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:˘• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field. ˘• Ability to create and edit video content, particularly for presentations and social media.˘• Experience editing content in the Drupal environment.˘• Experience with Webtools. Since the marketing and communications team works across and with many different groups, this individual must be capable of working well with a wide range of people such as Foundation staff, including the President and the Board, university officials and employees, vendors, donors, volunteers and others.
