Executive Director

This Full-Time, Executive Level position is responsible for oversight and planning associated with operations and maintenance of Building Commission facilities and properties as well as the Vermilion County 911 Communication Center. This position is appointed by, and reports to, the Board of Commissioners. Position requires the following: •Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products such as MS Word and Excel.

•Previous experience in budget preparation and organizational management of a public entity, including Board interaction.

•Working knowledge or current Human Resource practices and compliance with current State and Federal laws.

•Knowledge of emergency communications and compliance with oversight agencies.

•Technologically aware and able to participate in analyzing the various needs of DPBC, the City, and the County and contribute effectively in providing solutions.

•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple personnel involved in 911 Dispatch and facility operations and maintenance.

•Experience with public administration, procurement, and related contract management.

Degree in Public Administration with a strong emphasis in Human Resource management. Significant experience and a proven record that provides comparable knowledge and skillsets may be considered in place of a degree.

Salary range: $70,000-$85,000 Position will remain open until filled.

Successful candidate must live within Vermilion County within 6 months of completion of orientation period.
