RACES (Rape Advocacy, Counseling & Education Services)

is seeking candidates for two positions:

Advocate/Educator Provides advocacy (mostly about the court system) to survivors of sexual violence, plus presents empowerment education programs to students in late elementary school and older. Successful candidates will have one year of experience working with diverse populations in a social service setting and exemplary organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused orientation a must; experience in presentations or training preferred. Requires a bachelor's degree; agency will provide content training on sexual violence, legal advocacy, and the prevention programs to be used. Trauma Counselor Provides mental health counseling to survivors of sexual violence ages 3 and above. Successful candidates will have one year of experience working with diverse populations in a social service setting and exemplary organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused orientation a must; experience working with both children and adults preferred. Requires a master's degree in social work, counseling or related field.
